On the afternoon of May 23, 2024, a delegation from the School of Foreign Languages (SFL) at Nanjing Medical University (NMU) visited SFS.

The NMU delegation included Xu Xia, Secretary of the SFL Party Committee, and Su Yimin, SFL's Deputy Secretary of the SFL Party Committee and Vice Dean, along with four other SFL representatives.

They were warmly received by Zhang Chang'an, Secretary of the SFS Party Committee, and Chen Xiangjing, Dean of SFS. Several SFS leaders also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Xu gave an overview of SFL's general development. In response, Zhang shared SFS's initiatives in areas such as moral education, academic development, curriculum-based cultural education, and contributions to serving national priorities. Chen also introduced the school's current progress in faculty development, undergraduate programs, interdisciplinary talent cultivation, academic competitions, and enrollment efforts.

Furthermore, SFS staff shared details on training and employment of both undergraduates and postgraduates, as well as developments in translation services.

The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on topics including serving national strategic goals, enhancing teaching and research quality, contributing to policy consultation, and promoting interdisciplinary talent development.

Both parties spoke highly of the productive discussions and expressed a mutual desire to strengthen future cooperation in the joint development of high-level foreign language education and disciplines.
