
On the morning of April 24, 2024, the Russian and German Department held a Seminar on Digital-Intelligent Transformation in Foreign Language Teaching.
The seminar began with a discussion on the mid-term teaching inspection for the spring semester of 2024.
Faculty members of the department exchanged their ideas and experiences on incorporating AI tools into their teaching. They talked about how teachers can proactively acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills to update pedagogical concepts and methods amid technological advancements; how to blend traditional teaching methods with digital-intelligent technologies, particularly in beginner-level courses for less commonly taught languages; how to optimize the use of technological platforms and resources in course design to enhance student learning; and how to innovate teaching formats by leveraging individual strengths in the context of New Liberal Arts initiatives. All participants gained valuable insights from these discussions. The seminar strengthened interdisciplinary communication among faculty, deepened the understanding of the construction of new liberal arts and the digital- intelligent transformation of teaching, and provided valuable insights for future teaching and research endeavors.
